Tina utilizes the science and art of nursing
Nursing Process: Conducting a Holistic Assessment; Analysis/Nursing Diagnoses; establishing individualized client/resident goals, developing individualized interventions utilizing evidence-base practice process: researching update options with the experts/providers & resident/client; developing a plan with targeted goal dates; and re-evaluating and refining the plan if needed to achieve the goals.
The Art of Nursing: For Tina the art of nursing is taking a “posture of learning” together. Being aware of the interdependency of our human relationships with all created things. With compassion and collaboration Tina believes in practicing the 4 A’s: Awareness, Acceptance, Appreciation, and Acknowledgement of the uniqueness of the situation; organization or of the client/resident to be able to sincerely exercise a good assessment or reflective analysis to begin to help facilitate learning or planning collaboratively.
Tina believes all nurses are educators either informally or formally. Nurses teach both non-verbally and verbally in the relationships with others. As a formal educator Tina takes a strong humanistic and constructivist approach in the development of her training programs and utilizes accelerated learning strategies to help provide individualized and meaningful learning to individuals/organizations. Tina believes that with sincere values of courtesy and learning together at the grassroot level this becomes a positive force like a magnet that demonstrates the 4 A’s and draws all those who have a passion to improve to continue strive to advance in role of service. Tina has 25 years of experience working with teams relished in celebration of the joy and enthusiasm when team members/colleagues are immersed in learning together. What better way is there to serve together than to promote the well-being of a team member/colleague, resident/clients, organization, and community. Caring then becomes contagious and a sincere shared vision.
